A Walk On The Road
Thereís a country road I walk each day -
Itís a beautiful shady lane;
And as I walk I often pray...
Lord, make Your will for me plain.
The woodland animals, the birds of the air,
All know just what to do.
Sometimes I wonder, Lord, are they
Much closer than I to You?
But, when I continue to look about,
Rejoicing floods my soul,
And convicted I stand of any doubt,
For I know Youíre in control.
As I consider the lilies of the field,
Thereís neither toil nor strife.
Your grace provides for all who yield,
Directing and guiding their life.
So help me, Lord, to rest in You,
And trust You all the way.
Then I, too, will know just what to do
As I walk the road each day.
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths"
