Let us Give Thanks!

 

 

When we look up in the evening
And view God’s marvelous Light,
Let us thank Him for the beauty
We behold when it is night.
The moon and stars are free for all
And they shout the victory;
Looking up toward heaven above…
What wonderful sights we see!
Let us Give Thanks!

When we are there at the altar,
Kneeling in prayer with heads bowed,
Let us thank God for His goodness
And another day allowed.
Every breath is a blessing, friend,
And each day a precious gift;
No matter how deep the valley…
His loving hand’s there to lift.
Let us Give Thanks!

When we awake in the morning
And begin a brand new day,
Let us thank God for His mercy
And for showing us His way.
There’s so much to be grateful for
In this world in which we live;
We need only to look around…
To see blessings He doth give.
O Let us Give Thanks!
