Since I Came to Know Him

 

 

The moon and stars are much brighter
Since I came to know the Lord,
And my burdens are much lighter…
For He is my shield and sword.
The gentle breeze upon my face
Is a reminder to me
Of His amazing love and grace…
That redeemed and set me free.

The sun shines brighter than before,
The flowers and trees all glow,
And my spirit just seems to soar...
Since His love I came to know.
The songbirds sing so much sweeter
Than my ears have ever heard,
For I’ve come to know their Feeder…
And I’m feasting on His Word.

The valleys are not quite as deep,
No more fear of the unknown,
And mountains are not near as steep…
For I’m no longer alone.
The troubles and trials I go through
Are mere opportunities,
For He’s with me in all I do,
And I see great victories…
Since I Came to Know Him.
