Faith and Works

Faith is part of salvation’s plan,
For through faith we come to Christ,
And are saved by grace—grace alone—
Receiving eternal life.

Works plays no part in salvation,
But it’s crucial in our walk,
For faith without works is dead, friend,
Oh, let’s not just talk the talk.

Moved by the love of Christ our Lord,
Let us serve with all our heart,
Making a difference in this world…
Each of us doing our part.

Let us reach out to the hungry,
And to the sick, and bereaved—
As we exemplify God’s love,
Eternal work is achieved.

Working in the Kingdom of God,
We fulfill the Father’s plan,
And one day we’ll hear His “Well done”…
Faith and Works go hand in hand.

 “For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus
unto good works, which God hath before ordained that
we should walk in them.” “As the body without the spirit
is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
(Eph 2:8-10; Ja 2:26)
