Heaven and Hell
Heaven is a
very real place…
A place of eternal peace,
Abundant life so rich and free,
Worship and praise without cease.
A portion can be ours, right here,
Of that wondrous heavenly home;
When we come to know the Savior…
A taste of glory is known;
But, oh, what a glorious time,
When we meet the Master there;
Our hearts shall sing forevermore…
Free from all trouble and care.
Hell, too, is a very real place…
A place of eternal grief,
Where souls cry out for just one drop
Of water to give relief.
In a state of darkness, right here,
A soul reaps the evil sown;
Apart from the Spirit of God…
A taste of Hades is known;
But when one enters Hell’s portals,
Forever away from God,
Such wailing and gnashing of teeth…
Never seen on earthly sod.
Lord, help us to spread Your gospel…
That old redemption story,
That lost souls would be delivered…
And headed home to glory.
"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life:
and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life;
but the wrath of God abideth on him."
Jesus said: "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand:
Repent ye, and believe the gospel
