Problems Develop Us
The problems
and trials we face,
As we walk upon earth’s sod,
Can strengthen our Christian walk,
And draw us closer to God.
Our Good Shepherd uses each one
To mature His little flock,
Developing the heart and soul
Of those planted on the rock.
Problems are useful in building
A faith that will never bend…
Mountains may tumble to the sea,
But faith in God has no end.
Paul and Silas had their problems,
Yet, they followed the Lord’s lead…
And, in prison, sang songs of praise,
As they shared the gospel seed.
Right in the midst of their trial,
A great miracle took place…
As the prison keeper believed,
He was freed by saving grace.
Joseph met with many problems,
And God used them, every one,
To develop His chosen man,
That kingdom work would be done.
Let us be thankful for the trials
And problems that come our way,
Knowing they are working for good…
As we follow Christ each day.
"We know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose."
"Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect
and entire wanting nothing.
(Rom.8:28; James 1:3-4)
