The Great Deceiver
Satan is the great deceiver,
Seeking whom he may devour…
Alive right here on planet earth
And at work this very hour.
He sometimes comes as a lion,
Viciously after his prey…
But mostly an angel of light,
Deceiving souls everyday.
So many fall for his trickery,
Caught in a sinful lifestyle,
Thinking it’s perfectly alright…
As Satan laughs all the while.
Fun and pleasure for a season:
Adultery, fornication,
Homosexuality, pride
And self gratification,
Covetousness, lying and theft…
Weave a web of corruption,
And all who follow this pathway
Are headed for destruction.
Many are caught in Satan’s web
Of an ungodly lifestyle,
For he is The Great Deceiver…
And he’s laughing all the while.
Father, only You can free souls
From this web in which they’re bound.
May Your Holy Spirit convict…
And new life in Christ be found.
"Satan himself
is transformed into an angel of light."
"Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolterers, nor adulterers,
nor
effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. Nor thieves, nor
covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners,
shall inherit the kingdom of God."
"If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."
