Bear His Fruit
Our Heavenly Father's the husbandman,
Our Lord Jesus Christ the Vine;
We're the branches abiding in Him,
Bearing fruit for all mankind.
The branch can do nothing without the Vine,
For no life abides within;
But through the Word it's made alive
As God purges from all sin.
Oh, may we always bear that fruit so sweet
Of our precious Lord who came,
Lest we be a branch withering away,
Having taken His name in vain.
Continuing in love, keeping His word,
Our hearts are purified,
And as we bear the fruit of His Spirit,
Our Father is glorified.
Oh, what joy flows from the Vine
As we walk God's holy way;
Loving one another as He loved us,
We Bear His Fruit each day.
Jesus said: "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him,
the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."
"Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit;
so shall ye be my disciples."
