God's Eternal Call
Take the glitter and the glamour
And all it's temporal pleasure,
In my Lord I've found a storehouse
Of everlasting treasure.
This world's trinkets and romance
Hold no attraction for me,
They can't compare with what I have
Since my Lord hath set me free.
I want no part of the tempter's charms,
There's just simply no appeal,
In my precious Lord I've found
Eternal joy that's really real.
I'm looking for His soon return-
It could be any day,
And when He comes I want to be
Walking the narrow way.
Oh, how I long to see Him
Clearly face to face,
And thank Him for abundant life
And His amazing grace.
Take Satan's worldly playhouse-
I want no part at all,
For I'm basking in the sunlight
Of God's Eternal Call.
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.
If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust
of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of
the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust therof:
but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."
