Evidence of Things Not Seen
Though our eyes can't see the wind,
We can feel it as it blows;
We cannot tell whence it comes,
Nor just how or where it goes;
Yet, the strong, tall trees are bent,
Quiet waters tempest tossed;
Houses built upon the sand
Can result in total loss.
Though we cannot see the wind
As it whistles through the air,
The effects are clearly seen...
There's no doubt...that it is there.
Though our eyes can't see God's Spirit,
We can feel His presence near;
Somehow He touches our lives
Calming our innermost fear.
The strong and proud are humbled,
Hearts cleansed and freed from sin;
Houses built upon the Rock
Are safe and secure within.
Though we cannot see God's Spirit
As He moves upon our soul,
The effects are clearly seen...
There's no doubt...He makes us whole!
"The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof,
but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth:
so is every one that is born of the Spirit."
(John 3:8)
