Until Then
When my work on earth is over,
Lord, just take my feeble hand,
Lead me to my home in glory-
That celestial Promise Land...
But Until Then, may Thy Spirit
Set my heart and soul on fire
With the flame of Thy great gospel,
The lost and weak to inspire.
When my life here draws to a close,
And I can serve Thee no more,
Lord, take me to my heavenly home-
That glorious, peaceful shore...
But Until Then, with thanksgiving,
I will live my life for Thee,
And pray my light would brightly burn,
For lost, hurting souls to see.
"Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
"Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not."
