The Light Within
The Light of Christ, our Lord who came,
Burns bright within the soul
Of all who bear His precious Name,
Forgiven and made whole.
Oh, do not let your Light grow dim,
Walk in His righteous way;
Just keep your eyes focused on Him
And serve Him every day.
As you feed on His Holy Word,
Praising His wondrous Name,
Within your heart and soul is stirred,
A warm and glowing flame.
Oh, let it shine forever bright
In this dark world about...
That others may behold the Light
That never shall go out.
Jesus said: "Ye are the light of the world..."
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see
your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
(Matt.5:14,16)
