True Peace
Often we look to circumstance
To bring contentment and peace,
Only to find disappointment
When our problems do not cease.
True peace comes not from this world,
But from God and God alone,
As we come to know Christ Jesus
Who redeems us for His own.
Forgiven of sin and made clean,
What wondrous peace we find...
Peace that passes understanding,
Beyond the human mind.
Father, thank you that as we walk
In fellowship with Thee,
True Peace flows from Thy Throne above,
And reaches even me.
"...the Lord will bless his people with peace."
"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
( Ps.29:11; Phil.4:7)
