Just As We Are
Just as we are - without one plea -
Bound by sin's captivity;
Convicted and broken, we bend our knee
To the One who died to set us free.
Turmoil and strife shall all depart,
As He touches and heals our shattered heart.
The wars and fears within shall cease,
Replaced with abundant joy and peace.
Yes, just as we are - not a single plea,
At the foot of the Cross, He sets us free.
At last our blinded eyes can see,
As we’re born anew for eternity -
A miracle wrought by God’s own hand;
From time of creation, it was in His plan.
Thank You, Father, for Your grace from afar
That touches our souls - Just As We Are.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for us"
(Rom. 5:8)
