Down On Your Knees

Friend, if you want to be stronger,
Just linger a little longer
Down on your knees in prayer;
With your heart bowed in submission,
You are in the right position...
To meet your Lord there.
Earnestly praying, you will find
A freedom from those chains that bind,
If you will simply ask;
So do not hesitate, my friend,
It’s worth every minute you spend,
You’ll find strength for the task…
Down on your knees.

And if you want to have real peace,
Continue praying without cease,
As you walk…freed from sin;
You’ll praise God for what He gave you,
And Satan cannot persuade you…
To ever follow him.
You’ll be content and have true joy—
A joy that nothing can destroy,
Springing up in your soul;
Thanks to the Cross of long ago,
Spiritual freedom you can know
When Jesus makes you whole…
Down On Your Knees.

“And all things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer,
believing, ye shall receive.”
(Matt 21:22)
