Servants of Righteousness

 

 

Servants of righteousness—
True soldiers of the Cross,
Clothed with God’s whole armor…
Shall never suffer loss.
Anchored in Jesus Christ,
The Rock of all ages,
Christians are held secure…
While the battle rages.

Servants of righteousness—
True children of the King,
Trusting in the Master…
Have a new song to sing.
A song that will right wrongs,
And turn darkness to Light,
Heal the brokenhearted…
And give the blind their sight.

Servants of Jesus Christ
Light up this darkened world,
As Gospel Truth is shared…
And great blessings unfurl.
Entrusted with God’s Word,
Blessed beyond all measure,
Servants of Righteousness…
Lay up lasting treasure.

 

“Serve the LORD with gladness”
Jesus said: “Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where
thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
(Ps 100:2; Matt 6:20-21)
