Without Our Lord

Without Christ, the rose would have no fragrance,
The garden would lose its glow;
It is His touch that makes things beautiful…
When our loving Lord we know.

Without Him, the moon would not shine as bright,
The stars would cease to glitter;
Spiritual darkness would be all around…
Hearts would be cold and bitter.

Without Him, we could do nothing, my friend,
We’d be so helpless and weak;
But through our Shepherd we can do all things…
For He gives strength to His sheep.

Without our Lord, life would have no meaning,
All would be empty and vain;
He is our joy—our reason for living…
Praise His precious Holy Name!

 “Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness,
and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry
soul with goodness.”
(Ps 107:8-9)
