Pray Without Ceasing

 

 

When we awake in the morning
To another new day,
So often we are negligent
And fail to stop and pray.
Each day is a gift from our Lord,
O let us praise Him, friend!
Every single breath that we take
Is a special gift from Him.

We have so many blessings
For which to thank our Lord,
And to neglect our time in prayer,
We just cannot afford.
He has given us instructions,
Surely we all have heard,
We are to pray without ceasing…
It is clear in His Word.

Whether on the highest mountain,
Or in the valley low,
No matter where we are, my friend,
He hears us—that we know.
O let us walk continually
In prayer to our great God,
That we might be obedient…
As on this earth we trod.
Let us Pray Without Ceasing.

 

 

 “Pray without ceasing.
In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God
in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
(I Thes 5:17-18)
