Benjamin Disraeli said:
“Most people will go to their graves
with their music still in them.”
That strong statement Benjamin made
Is sad, but so very true;
Oh, what a tragedy to live
And not play our music through.
The greatest joy comes when using
The gifts our God has given,
Such abundant blessings are ours –
A portion of His heaven.
The Music in the heart and soul
Has a purpose that’s divine,
And our instruments must be played…
As we live our span of time.
Look for your spiritual gifts, friend,
And when you find them within,
Share with others the melody…
Time is short and soon will end.
Play your music for all to hear
And when you reach heaven’s shore,
Those sounds from earth will reach you there
And play on forevermore.
Oh, may the grave never contain
The music that lies within,
But may the melody go out…
Lonely, hurting souls to mend.
“Neglect not the gift that is in thee”
“Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them”
(I Ti. 4:14-15)
