We may never lead like Moses,
And reveal God’s mighty hand,
But we can help a little child…
And leave footprints in the sand.
We may never sing like David,
Or write so eloquently,
But we can lift our voice in praise…
And worship in harmony.
We may never walk on water
Like Peter of long ago,
But we can walk in the Spirit…
The fruit of God’s love to show.
We may never preach like Paul did
In those bible days of old,
But we can tell how God changed us…
Forgave our sins, made us whole.
Not many mighty and noble,
Not many wise doth God choose,
The broken, humble, servant’s heart…
Is the vessel He doth use.
Let us keep in mind Our Mission,
Reaching out, the lost to free;
And let us pray like Isaiah…
O Lord, “Here am I, send me.”
“I heard the voice of the Lord, saying,
Whom shall I send, and
who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”
“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
(Is. 6:8; Mk. 16:15)
