“More than the greatest love this world has known”
This is the love that comes from God alone.
What a wonder that He would condescend…
The God of creation – our dearest Friend.

In the form of His Son, He came to earth
To lay down His life and provide new birth.
Demonstrated on that old rugged tree…
Was love beyond measure for you and me:

So much higher than the highest mountain,
Freely flowing – an eternal fountain…
And so much deeper than the deepest sea,
Love reaching down in mercy – souls to free.

Oh, what a sacrifice our Savior made!
Praise His holy name – our sin debt is paid.
Yes, my friend, our hearts can be very sure…
No one else could ever love us more.

Such amazing love we can’t comprehend –
The God of creation – our dearest Friend.

 “Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.”
Thus saith the Lord…”I have loved thee with an everlasting love”
(John 15:13; Jer. 31:3)
