Some Would Say

 

Some would say, with doubting Thomas,
“Show me His hands and His side”,
Desiring to see with human eyes,
That Jesus Christ is alive.
But He’s no longer in the flesh,
As in the days of Thomas,
When we believe, then we can see…
Trusting Him and His promise.

Some would say, with the rich ruler,
“I have many goods laid up”,
And go their way in poverty,
Carrying an empty cup.
Some would say, when the Savior calls,
“Let me first bury the dead”,
But now is the day of salvation…
From that darkened path they tread.

Believing is not in seeing,
But seeing in believing,
And peace and joy are not in riches,
But in new life receiving.
So when you hear the Master’s call,
O friend, do not hesitate,
Believe and receive Christ Jesus…
And seal your spiritual fate.
