A Cottage Below
Just give me a small cottage here below,
Where love and laughter abide;
I do not need a big mansion for show…
When God’s Spirit dwells inside.
Just a humble dwelling, on earthly sod,
Is all I ask, and no more;
A place where folks sense the presence of God…
When they enter through the door.
A home free from disharmony and strife
Needs no fancy things to show,
For inside are found true treasures of life…
God’s richest blessings do flow.
A small cottage is a mansion to me,
If warmth and real love abide;
What makes a house a home can only be…
The Spirit of God inside.
“Except the Lord build the house, they
labour in vain that build it”
“God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and
God in him.”
(Ps.127:1; I John 4;16)
