Revival Fire
Oh, God, we have felt revival fire
And our hearts are set aflame;
May it not be just for a season,
But forevermore remain.
And should those flames begin to grow dim,
Fan the embers once again,
Until the fire burns so bright within…
It’s seen and felt by lost men.
Help us to realize those blessings
Are not for ourselves alone,
But the joy restored within our heart
Is to make Thy message known.
As the flames spread rapidly throughout,
Burning away all the dross,
Hard hearts are melted and purified…
Beneath The Old Rugged Cross.
Oh, God, keep revival fire burning,
Ever in our heart and soul,
That others would see the Light of Christ…
And be brought into the fold.
And should those flames begin to grow dim,
Fan the embers once again,
Till all have heard of Thy saving Grace…
And we see Thee face to face.
“Rejoice in the Lord always: and
again I say, Rejoice.”
“Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning”
(Phil. 4:4; Luke 12:35)
