Serve God Today
This is the day the Lord hath made,
So swiftly it's passing by;
Signs of the times are very clear,
Redemption draweth nigh.
Are we doing all we can today,
Serving our God and King?
Have we any gifts of sacrifice
Before His throne to bring?
When His kingdom shall unveil
With Glory from the sky,
Will we be ready to meet Him
In His holiness on high?
The day of His coming is so near,
It's sovereignly arranged;
We must work while there is time,
And lives can still be changed.
Nothing's ever done tomorrow,
Or in the yesterday;
One's a vision, the other a dream,
We must Serve God Today.
"Serve the Lord with gladness..."
"...exhort one another daily, while it is called To day..."
"Labour not for the meat which perisheth,
but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life..."
