Where The Still Waters Flow
In the quiet green pastures...
Where the still waters flow,
Our thirsty souls are satisfied
As our Lord we come to know.
There on the righteous paths,
Following close to Him,
Our hearts are safely sheltered
Though all around is grim.
Even in death's dark shadow
We fear no evil or wrath,
Our Shepherd's there to comfort
With His rod and His staff.
The table spread before us
Gives nourishment we need,
To stand before our enemies
With the strength to succeed.
Oh, what wondrous peace and joy
Our Shepherd doth bestow,
In the quiet green pastures...
Where The Still Waters Flow.
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul:"
(Ps. 1-3a)
