Did You Ever?
Did you ever, on a starlit night,
Stand and gaze upon the moon so bright…
And feel your heart leap in joyful praise,
Thinking of God and His wondrous ways?
The One who put every star in place
And hung the glorious moon in space…
Created all things by His own hand,
Then sent His Son to redeem lost man.
I stand amazed as I feast my eyes
Upon the great beauty of the skies…
Amazed that the One who made all I see,
Would reach down and touch someone like me.
Never has there been a greater love
Than was shown by the Father above…
Oh, that all would hear His tender call:
“Come unto Christ and surrender all.”
Out of the darkest night, God’s light doth shine,
And into dark hearts like yours and mine…
When we come to know our Lord and King,
Such joy His glorious Light doth bring.
Oh, Did You Ever, on a starlit night,
Stand and gaze upon the moon so bright…
And feel your heart leap in joyful praise,
Thinking of God and His wondrous ways?
“For
God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness,
hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of
the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”
(II Cor. 4:6)
