God Is Watching Over Me
I know not what tomorrow may bring,
What troubles I shall see,
But I know the God of all the earth
Is watching over me.
When I think of how the lilies grow
As He sends rain and sun,
And how the birds of the air are fed
As He cares for each one…
Oh, why should I ever be anxious?
I know He'll meet my need.
His loving eye is always on me,
My hungry soul to feed.
I know not what tomorrow may bring,
What troubles I shall see,
But I know the God of all the earth
Is Watching Over Me.
"Take no thought for the morrow…"
"Consider the lilies of the field how they grow…"
"Behold the fowls of the air…your heavenly Father feedeth them.
Are ye not much better than they?"
(Matt. 6:34, 28, 26)
