When We Differ
As Christians, we sometimes differ
On a doctrinal point of view,
But let us always remain kind,
Tenderhearted, loving and true;
For lost souls hang in the balance…
Disharmony we can't afford;
Oh, God, help us, as Your children,
Never to sow seeds of discord.
May our hearts stay focused on Christ,
Yielding precious fruit without cease,
Seeking to keep the unity
Of Spirit in the bond of peace;
Let there never be, among us,
Division when we disagree,
But let us walk in one accord…
Sharing the Truth that sets men free.
"Walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness
and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."
