A Mystery

Jesus came, born of a virgin,
Over two thousand years ago…
Just how that miracle took place
Our finite minds will never know…It’s A Mystery.
He shed His blood, that we might live –
Paid the penalty for our sin…
What a wonder that He would give
His holy life for sinful men…It’s A Mystery.
Lost, depraved souls, now forgiven,
Born again by amazing grace…
New creatures in Christ bound for heaven,
One day will see Him face to face…It’s A Mystery.
Eternal love never ending,
Oh, how we see it every day…
His healing hand ever mending
The painful hurts that come our way…It’s A Mystery.
Sometimes we cannot understand
Just why things happen as they do…
But we know they are in God’s plan,
And He will always see us thru…It’s A Mystery.
When we slip and fall, He lifts us,
Our precious Lord is always there…
He reaches down and forgives us,
As we seek Him in earnest prayer…It’s A Mystery.
His spirit lives within our hearts,
Producing fruits of righteousness…
When we follow Him, He imparts
A joyful life of holiness…It’s A Mystery.
Soon we shall join Him in the air,
He will reach out and take our hand…
Oh, such rejoicing over there,
Face to face, we shall understand…
No more A Mystery.

“For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect
shall come, then that which is in part shall be done away.”
“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face”
(I Co 13:9-10; 12)
