Lord God of All Ages Past

 

Christ was with God the Father before time,
And included in all His plan…
Nothing created was made without Him,
He was at the Father’s right hand.

He was there with God in the burning bush,
As He called His servant to lead…
And He was there in the fiery furnace,
Protecting, supplying the need.

He was with Daniel in the lions’ den,
Guarding, keeping him safe and sound…
He was with David, giving him courage,
As the giant fell to the ground.

He is the living Word who came to earth –
The Lamb without blemish or spot…
Born in the flesh to sacrifice His life,
Yet, His own received Him not.

This same Jesus Christ is alive today
And He will make His presence known…
As in the days of Moses His Servant,
He will guide and protect His own.

He will guard His people and keep them safe
As He did in the lions’ den…
He will give courage to slay their giants,
For His Spirit now dwells within.

Oh, Come let us worship Christ our Savior,
And praise Him for all He has done…
He is the Lord God of All Ages Past…
And King of all the world to come.
