Live Today

 

 

Thanks be to God, we cannot see
The troubles that are in store,
For His grace comes in time of need,
And not one minute before.
We cannot live in tomorrow,
For tomorrow never comes,
The future may hold much sorrow…
But we live from sun to sun.

We need not fret about the past,
And let it rob precious time,
Let us labor for what will last,
It will free our worried mind.
We cannot live in yesterday,
For it is only a dream,
Today is all we have my friend…
And the time must be redeemed.

Let us trust our loving Shepherd
With whatever comes our way,
For His grace is all sufficient
To carry us thru the day.
Why worry about tomorrow,
Or fret about yesterday?
We only have the here and now…
Let us learn to Live Today.

for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.
