Everyone Can

Not everyone can lead like Moses,
Or, from a bush, hear the Lord speak,
But everyone can read the Bible…
God’s perfect will and way to seek.

Not everyone can sing like David,
Or kill a giant with a little sling,
But everyone can sing God’s praises…
When all to the altar they bring.

Not everyone can walk on water
As Peter did so long ago,
But everyone can walk with Jesus…
When, by God’s grace, His Son they know.

Not everyone can preach the Gospel
Like the Apostle Paul of old,
But every saint can share with others…
How the Lord saved their sinful soul.

Everyone can thank the Creator
For the beauty they see around,
Whether they be lost, without the Lord…
Or one of His sheep that are found.

But, Oh, may the lost come to the Lord
And repent of their selfish ways,
His hand’s not short, that it cannot save…
Every soul who earnestly prays…
And Everyone Can.

 “BEHOLD, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save;
neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear”
(Is 59:1)
