Great Blessings Unfold!

 

 

Remember the song of long ago
That says, “Make the world go away”?
We’ve all felt that kind of pain and woe
When faced with a grievous day;
Like that old song, we want to cry out,
“Take it off of my shoulders, please”—
Then bowing before the LORD our God,
We find our burden has been eased…
And Such Great Blessings Unfold!

You may have reached the end of your path,
Having strayed from the righteous way,
Come to the Cross, receive forgiveness,
As you kneel before Christ and pray;
You’ll find you’ve left the old world behind,
Having been redeemed or restored—
And you will have entered a new world
Of sweet fellowship with your LORD…
It’s there Great Blessings Unfold.

Yes, we can “Make the world go away”,
And be taken off our shoulders,
As we closely follow our LORD,
True and faithful Christian soldiers;
Whatever our lot in life, my friend,
If we will hear and heed His voice—
We’ll walk with Him in newness of life
And our hearts can always rejoice…
As His Great Blessings Unfold!

 

 “And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee,
if thou shalt harken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.”
