Empowered from on High

 

 

When we’re raised to new life in Jesus Christ,
The Holy Spirit is nigh,
Giving us strength for every task we face…
Empowering from on high.

Without our Lord we could do nothing, friend,
For in the flesh we are weak,
But through Jesus Christ we can do all things…
As the Father’s will we seek.

When we put on the whole armor of God,
We’re equipped for any trial,
The enemy is a defeated foe…
When he meets with God’s true child.

Infused with strength and power from above,
There is nothing we can’t do,
So stand tall and claim the victory, friend,
Your Mighty God is with you.

The Spirit that raised our Lord from the dead
Now dwells within you and me,
Let us boldly move forward in His Name…
In Him we are strong and free…
Empowered from on High.

 

 “If the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead
dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall
also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
