The Best is Yet to Be

It’s been said, “Grow old along with me,
The best is yet to be”…
And it is…if we’re His.

The body of flesh may become frail,
The hearing and eyesight may fail,
But though the outer grow weaker, friend,
The spirit is renewed within…
When the soul is redeemed from sin.

Consider eternal things to come:
We’ll see the face of God the Son,
And, with vision clear, walk streets of gold…
Glorious treasures to behold…
There where no one dies or grows old.

All Christian loved ones shall reunite—
Know and be known in Glory Light;
Oh, what a great feast awaits us there…
In Heaven’s Land so rich and fair…
Nothing could begin to compare!

There will be no more pain, no more tears,
No more heartache, and no more fears;
We’ll rejoice forever in that place…
When we meet Jesus face to face…
Oh, praise God for amazing grace!

Christian friend, “Grow old along with me,
The Best Is Yet To Be”…
Yes, it is…for we’re His!

“Though our outward man perish, yet the inward man
is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment,
worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”
“Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man,
the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
(2 Cor 4:16-17; 1 Cor 2:9)
