In That Day

In that day, when the trumpet shall sound
And graves shall open wide…
Believers in Jesus Christ our LORD
Shall come forth glorified;
Then those who are still alive on earth,
Who look for their great King,
Shall rise up to meet Him in the air…
Forevermore to sing...
In That Day.

Oh, what a grand reunion, my friend,”
When saints are gathered there,
Having put on immortality…
In that rich land so fair;
And when we behold our Savior’s face,
What a day that will be!
We’ll worship with joy unspeakable…
Through all eternity…
In That Day.

Some shall be left behind in darkness
When that trumpet is blown,
Forever separated from God…
His Son not having known;
Oh, be sure you know Him today, friend,
Bow before the Master…
Rejection of Jesus Christ shall bring…
Eternal disaster…
In That Day.

 “The dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive
and remain shall be caught up together with them in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life:
and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life;
but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
(1 Thes 4:16-17; Jn 3:36)
