A Closer Walk

 

 

Lord Jesus, as we abide in Thee,
Help us Thy will to clearly see;
Thy footprints are right there in the sand…
Yet, sometimes we misunderstand.
When the path is foggy and unclear,
Help us to know that Thou art near;
Teach us to humble ourselves and pray…
Trusting in Thee to lead the way.

When darkness covers the Light within,
Send a revival, heal and mend;
More of Thy mercy and grace impart…
That we might serve with all our heart.
When foundations crumble all around…
Only in Thee is safety found;
As we walk Thy righteous, holy path…
We’re filled with joy, and saved from wrath.

Lord, Thou art our Savior, Shepherd, Friend,
Rock of all ages till the end,
Our Anchor in an unstable place…
The One who saves us by His grace.
O Lord, our God, draw us closer still,
Teach us to do Thy perfect will;
Take all we are, all we hope to be…
Give us A Closer Walk with Thee.
