Keep Your Heart
Keep your heart, my friend, guard it from all sin,
It is precious in God’s sight;
He paid a high cost on Calvary’s cross
For our hearts to be made right.
May we never stray from His holy way,
But stay ever close to Him;
He imparts a song, as we walk along,
May our light never grow dim...
Keep Your Heart.
Oh, keep your heart, friend, let not one thing in
That would steal your victory;
We reap joy and peace that should never cease –
Fruit that lasts eternally.
Guard your affection, use all protection,
For Satan attempts to steal;
He is working hard, we must be on guard,
Our adversary is real…
Keep Your Heart.
Friend, focus above and keep your first Love,
Our Lord is worthy of all;
Should the tempter come, point him to God’s Son…
And you’ll never slip and fall.
With great diligence, keep your allegiance
To the Savior of your soul;
Though He’s the keeper, we the reapers are
Accountable in His fold…
Keep Your Heart.
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and
to kill, and to destroy”
“The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right
hand.”
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues
of life.”
(Jo 10:10; Ps 121:5; Pr 4:23)
