God Leads His Sheep Along

In the worst of circumstances,
God leads His sheep along…
Through the valley, over mountains,
Ever in joyful song.
If one little sheep strays away,
The Shepherd’s heart is grieved…
He goes after that little one,
That he might be retrieved.

Oh, how our Shepherd loves His sheep,
He walks with us each day…
Full of mercy and compassion,
Forgiving as we pray.
And when we suffer broken hearts,
He’s quick to intervene…
With His rod and staff He comforts,
As on His arm we lean.

Not one thing touches our lives, friend,
That’s not within His sight…
So many things we think are wrong,
Turn out to be so right.
Our Great Shepherd is in control,
We can trust Him to lead…
As we learn to follow the Lord,
He meets our every need…
God Leads His Sheep Along.

“The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.”
(Ps 23:1)
