Standing on the Rock

On Christ, the solid Rock, we stand,
Forever safe and secure;
In Him, abundant life is found…
As we are cleansed and made pure.

God’s judgment is without mercy,
Yet, His love everlasting,
Even while we were yet sinners…
Cleansing was for the asking.

From miry clay, He lifted us,
Planting our feet on the Rock,
As we desperately cried to Him…
Chains of bondage were unlocked.

Now redeemed by His precious blood –
Saved by the Rock of ages,
Our joy is joy unspeakable…
And our hearts sing His praises.

Let us lift the Name of Jesus
For all of this world to see,
Salvation is in none other…
Standing on the Rock, we’re free.

“O come, let us sing unto the Lord:
let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.”
“There is none other name under heaven given among men,
whereby we must be saved.”
(Ps 95:1: Acts 4:12)
