The Word of God

 

 

The divinely inspired Word of God
Is a powerful two-edged sword,
Piercing the hearts of sinful souls –
Convicting – drawing to the Lord.

It is life’s complete instruction book,
Given by the loving Father,
Teaching His children how to live
Peaceably with one another.

This most precious book is inerrant,
For it is Holy Spirit breathed…
Spiritual food for hungry souls
Who have repented and believed.

The Word is a lamp, lighting our way,
Making the will of our God known,
Keeping us on the righteous path…
Guiding our footsteps safely home.

Oh, search the Scriptures my wayward friend,
They testify of Christ the Lord…
Your wounded heart will heal and mend,
Conceding to the Spirit’s sword…
The Word of God.

and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder
of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”
(Heb 4:12; Ps 107:20)
