Alive Unto God

 

 

Christian, we’ve been made new creatures:
Freed from the old man of sin,
Crucified with the Lord Jesus,
Raised to a new life in Him…
Alive Unto God.

Our fruit is unto holiness,
Thanks to His great sacrifice;
We can live lives of righteousness
That glorify Jesus Christ…
Alive Unto God.

Let us shine our Light in darkness,
Where there’s so much fear and doubt,
Reaching hurting souls in bondage,
Delivering captives out…
Alive Unto God.

Oh, let us live ever worthy
Of the call He hath given,
Until we reach our home on High,
In His glorious Heaven…
Alive Unto God.

 

 “For in that he (Christ) died, he died unto sin once:
but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead unto sin,
But alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
(Rom 6:10-11)
