Day of Deception

 

 

As time on earth is running out
Many are led astray;
It’s a day of much deception,
Oh, how we need to pray!
Our Lord has said no one can know
Just when the world will end;
Yet false prophets are setting dates,
Claiming to know just when.

Other doctrines are being taught
That lead away from Christ;
Oh, let us stay close to our Lord,
The Way, the Truth, the Life.
In Jesus we have all we need
To satisfy the soul;
Why follow after false teachers
When we have been made whole?

We have God’s Word to guide us, friend,
And His Spirit within;
How could we look to another?
We are complete in Him!
Let us obey Christ’s instructions
And take heed, watch, and pray;
Lest in this Day of Deception…
We, too, are led astray.

 

 Jesus said: “Take ye heed, watch and pray:
for ye know not when the time is.”
(Mk 13:33)
