When Time Ends

 

We all know time has an end,
But no one knows just when;
Not the angels, nor the Son,
Nor any mortal men.
As we see signs of the times,
We know the end is near,
And we are to be watchers,
Till our Lord doth appear…
When Time Ends.

The words of Christ are so clear:
“Only the Father knows”,
And when men try to predict,
Their lack of knowledge shows.
Yes, time has an end, my friend,
It could be any day--
In the twinkling of an eye,
It’ll be too late to pray…
When Time Ends.

When Jesus returns to earth,
Just what will our Lord find?
Will we be doing His will
At the end of our time?
Are we washed in His pure blood,
Ready to meet Him there?
If so, look up and rejoice…
As Glory fills the air…
When Time Ends.
