You Lifted Us

 

 

Lord, You lifted us from miry clay,
When we heard Your Spirit knock;
You forgave our sins and showed the way,
Set our feet upon the Rock…
And, when we drifted from green pasture,
You convicted us again;
And You saved us from sin’s disaster
By Your tender loving hand…
You Lifted Us.

Oh, sweet Spirit of the Living God,
Lead us in all that we do;
May every single step that we trod
Be a step pleasing to You…
And when those trials and temptations come
Help us trust You even more;
Thanks to the blood of Jesus, Your Son,
We’re not the same as before…
You Lifted Us.
