Born Into Him

Jesus Christ was born unto us,
That we might be born into Him.
He’s the Light that dispels darkness,
Fitting our souls for Heaven’s realm--
The Light that gives abundant life…
A life of victory in Him.

Our home is with God, the Father,
When Christ, the Son, we come to know;
Forgiven by His precious blood,
We are but pilgrims here below--
Citizens of His Great Kingdom…
No longer of this world of woe.

In the world, but not of the world,
Delivered from all sin and wrath,
We follow our Good Shepherd’s lead,
As He guides with His rod and staff;
Our existence is now with Him…
In peace, we walk His righteous path.

It’s a narrow path, but joyous,
For, born into Him, we are free--
Free to climb the highest mountain,
And, in faith, cross the stormy sea;
Free to walk the darkest valley…
And be all He’d have us be.

In Christ, we rejoice as we walk,
For we live in a higher realm;
Praise God! He was born unto us…
That we might be Born Into Him.

 “In him we live, and move, and have our being”
(Acts 17:28)
