Born Unto Us

 

 

The greatest of all announcements
Ever made on the earth,
Was made by the angel of God
Announcing Jesus’ birth:
“Unto you, Christ the Lord is born.”
The Messiah, the Son of God,
The Sacrificial Lamb,
Sent by the Heavenly Father--
Seed of the Great I Am…
Born Unto Us.

As God’s glory shone round about,
A heavenly host joined in:
“Glory to God in the highest…
peace, and good will toward men.”
“Unto you, a Saviour is born.”
The Great Shepherd, Rock of Ages,
Prince of Peace, Glorious King,
Born in just a meager stable--
Great salvation to bring…
Born Unto Us.

 

  “For unto you is born this day in the city of David
a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
“Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace,
good will toward men.”
