Holy is Thy Name

 

 

O Lord God, Holy is Thy Name,
Yet, sometimes, we take it in vain;
Not only using it lightly,
But failing to walk uprightly.

When we come to know Christ, Thy Son,
There’s Kingdom work that must be done;
And when we fail to follow Thee,
All that we do is vanity.

As Your children, we bear Thy Name,
Help us not to take it in vain,
But to live to glorify Thee
And be all You would have us be.

As You lead in pastures so green,
Help us keep ourselves pure and clean--
Useful vessels, ready to be
A sacrifice poured out for Thee…
For Holy is Thy Name.
