O Holy Night!

In the still of the night,
God’s Glory unfurled…
A mere manger held Light—
The Light of the world!
O Holy Night!

A bright star from the east
Beautifully adorned
That old stable where Christ
The Savior was born.
Shepherds came and worshipped,
For they knew it was He—
The Son of the Living God…
Born to set souls free.

Now, all who follow Him,
Having bowed and believed…
Shall have the Light of Life—
As He is received.
O Holy Night!

Jesus said: “I am the light of the world:
he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,
but shall have the light of life.”
(Jn 8:12)
